John Vahle completed a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Veterinary Pathology at Iowa State University from 1991 to 1995, following a DVM in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Missouri-Columbia from 1981 to 1988. Vahle worked as a Staff Veterinarian at Brookfield Veterinary Clinic from 1988 to 1991 and served as an Adjunct Instructor at Iowa State University from 1991 to 1995. Currently, Vahle is a Senior Research Fellow at Eli Lilly, a position held since 1995.
