Katherine Benson is an accomplished clinical trials and scientific leader with over 10 years of research experience in human genomics. Currently serving as the Associate Director of Clinical Delivery at Eli Lilly and Company, Katherine focuses on genomic sequencing to advance personalized medicine in renal disease, pulmonary fibrosis, and epilepsy. As a lecturer and principal investigator at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, Katherine combines teaching and mentoring with cutting-edge research and grant acquisition. Katherine holds a Bachelor of Science in Genetics from University College Cork and a PhD in Genetics and Epigenetics from Queen's University Belfast, along with a postgraduate diploma in health professions education.
