Lily Steiner

Senior Research Scientist

Lily Steiner is a second-year Computer Science Bioinformatics student at UC San Diego, where they are involved in researching potential links between Sars-CoV-2 and the human gut microbiome with the Knight Lab as part of the Early Research Scholars Program. Previously, Lily served as an undergraduate researcher at the Knight Lab, analyzing microbiome diversity in relation to COVID-19 severity, and contributed to metagenomics analysis at the System Energy Efficiency Lab. In addition to their research efforts, they have mentored and tutored students in computer science courses, fostering a supportive academic community.
