Marcus Terneus, PhD, MBA, DABT, is an experienced Senior Toxicologist currently serving as the Sr Director of SMDD - Translational Pharmaceutics at Eli Lilly and Company, a position held since 2024. Previously, Terneus held various roles in the pharmaceutical industry, including Project Leader R&D at Boehringer Ingelheim and Senior Project Toxicologist at Alcon, a Novartis company. Terneus earned a PhD in Pharmacology and Toxicology from Marshall University and an MBA from West Virginia University. With a strong background in leading project teams in both human and veterinary pharmaceuticals, Terneus has demonstrated expertise in toxicology and drug safety throughout their career.
