Nicholas Arce

Nicholas Arce, Ph.D., is a Senior Scientific Lead in Protein Engineering at Eli Lilly and Company, where they focus on developing proteins to treat cancer. With a Ph.D. in Molecular and Systems Pharmacology from Emory University, Nicholas conducted extensive research on von Willebrand factor and its role in platelet capture during vessel injury. Previously, they served as an ORISE Research Fellow at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, investigating protein interactions in the context of Hemophilia A, and held positions in antibody discovery at Loxo Oncology. Nicholas began their scientific journey as an undergraduate researcher at Georgia Institute of Technology, where they studied cathepsins and their interactions.
