Dr. Rong Xia is currently an advisor in Engineering at Eli Lilly and a postdoctoral fellow at Northwestern University, where they work under the mentorship of Prof. Edward H. Sargent. They obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Tianjin University in 2017, followed by a Doctor of Philosophy in the same field in 2021, and also served as an exchange Ph.D. student at the University of Delaware from 2019 to 2022. Dr. Xia's research is dedicated to addressing climate change through the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and the valorization of carbon, specializing in advancing electrochemical systems and carbon capture technologies.
