Scott May

VP Chemistry - Genetic Medicine CMC

Scott May is currently the VP of Chemistry for Genetic Medicines CMC at Eli Lilly and Company, a role they have held since 2022. Scott earned a B.S. in chemistry from Hope College in 1993 and a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from Indiana University in 1998. They joined Eli Lilly in 1998 as a Senior Organic Chemist and have since progressed to serve as Research Fellow in RNA Therapeutics. With over 20 years of experience in synthetic design and drug candidate process development, Scott has been instrumental in advocating for and implementing new technologies in continuous manufacturing and catalysis at Lilly. They actively contribute to industry consortiums, including the Innovation and Quality consortium and the Enabling Technologies Consortium.
