Shuai Chen

Shuai Chen is an experienced drug discovery and development professional currently serving as Director of Medicinal Chemistry at Eli Lilly and Company. They have a broad background in medicinal chemistry, DMPK/Tox, organic synthesis, and analytical chemistry, with expertise in organocatalysis, complex molecule synthesis, and fragment-based drug design. Prior to joining Eli Lilly, Shuai held key positions at Zion Pharma and Arbutus Biopharma Corporation, and contributed to research as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Pennsylvania and Fox Chase Chemical Diversity Center. Shuai's education includes a graduate degree from the University of Texas at Arlington and ongoing studies in Polymer Material Science and Engineering at Donghua University.
