Stephen McCarthy is a seasoned engineering professional specializing in process safety, with extensive experience across various sectors, including pharmaceuticals and oil and gas. Currently serving as a Senior Principal Engineer - Process Safety at Eli Lilly and Company since September 2025, Stephen previously held positions at Viatris as Health and Safety Lead and Process Safety Engineer, and at Pfizer as a Process Safety Engineer. Early career roles include Safety Engineer at Pilz Ireland and DNV GL, where Stephen conducted safety studies for oil and gas companies.
