Wayne Harshbarger

Wayne Harshbarger, PhD, is a structural biologist and protein engineer currently serving as the Director of Biotechnology Discovery Research at Eli Lilly and Company, where they lead optimization efforts. Wayne has held senior research fellow positions at Harvard Medical School and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and has worked as an expert scientist in structural biology and biophysics at GSK. They obtained a PhD in Chemistry with a focus on Structural Biology from Texas A&M University, where they also completed their Master's degree. Wayne is pursuing an Executive MBA at The University of Georgia, enhancing their leadership skills in the biotechnology field.
