Yong Wang

Yong Wang is an accomplished structural biology leader with over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Currently serving as an Executive Director at Eli Lilly and Company since 2021, Yong previously held the position of Research Scientist at the same company from 2001 to 2021, where they led numerous drug discovery projects integrating structure-based design. Yong began their career as a Senior Scientist at Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals from 1998 to 2001, directing crystallography studies and contributing to scholarly work with a patent and multiple publications. They hold a Ph.D. in Physics from Penn State University, a postdoctoral degree in structural biology from Yale University, and a B.S. in Physics from the University of Science and Technology of China.
