Geert Borloo

Geert Borloo is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in asset management and power quality monitoring within the energy sector. Currently serving as a Senior Expert Asset Management at Elia since February 2000, Geert is responsible for managing energy metering systems, measurement converters, and emergency diesel generators, among other responsibilities. Geert has also held key roles in the development and implementation of maintenance and replacement policies, as well as overseeing power quality measurements and reporting. Prior to Elia, Geert worked at Laborelec, focusing on power quality measurements and system development, and held positions at Volvo Car Corporation and the Belgian Army, highlighting a diverse background in engineering and military leadership. Geert's educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Engineering focused on high and medium voltage electricity networks and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a specialization in electronics and power electronics.
