Joris Elsen is a seasoned Project Leader specializing in high voltage substations and electrical infrastructure projects. Currently employed at Elia since March 2020, Joris oversees all phases of electrical infrastructure initiatives for the Belgian high-voltage electricity grid. Prior experience includes a tenure at AKKA Belgium from October 2012 to February 2020, where Joris led projects for Elia substations and telecommunications engineering. Earlier, Joris worked at Windvision as a Project Engineer focusing on wind farms and contributed as a Drive Train Engineer for the CQS GROUPT Racing Team, managing the mechanical development of electrical drivetrain systems. Joris holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering in Electromechanics from Groep T - Internationale Hogeschool Leuven, earned in 2011.
