Elin Pelin Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was established to serve the needs of the Bulgarian cultural group living in Houston and the surrounding areas. By developing programs that provide educational and cultural activities for the youth, professional adults, and the families, we strive to build the spirit of community and to enrich our members.

Our projects include Elin Pelin School, well known as the first Bulgarian school in Houston, which offers educational classes to children in Bulgarian language, literature, history and geography; Elin Pelin Library, which carries an extensive collection of both children’s and adult’s books in Bulgarian language; “Smehuranci” Drama Group, which develops acting, drama and public speaking skills; and Elin Pelin Social Events, which provide opportunities for business networking and collaboration;
