Chris Nielsen

Senior Director, Product Management at Elixir

Chris Nielsen has extensive work experience in various roles within the healthcare and technology sectors. Chris began their career in 2005 as a Principle Application Architect at Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) and later joined Universal American as an Assistant Vice President of Business Systems Support in 2010. In 2011, Chris joined CVS Health as Director of Business Systems, where they oversaw core configuration processes and coordinated with internal and external IT partners. Chris then moved on to Elixir in 2016, initially serving as Sr. Manager of Clinical Portfolio Management & Operations Solutions. Over the years, Chris progressed within Elixir, holding positions such as Director of Clinical Business Systems and Senior Director of Clinical Business Systems. Currently, Chris holds the role of Senior Director of Product Management at Elixir.

Chris Nielsen holds an MS in Management Information Systems from the University of Maryland Global Campus. Chris also obtained a BA in Criminal Justice from Stockton University. Additionally, they completed an MBA in Management Information Systems from the University of Maryland Global Campus. Chris has obtained several certifications throughout their career, including Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) from Scrum Alliance in February 2021, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from Scrum Alliance in December 2017, ITIL v3 from AXELOS in November 2016, and the Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification from the Project Management Institute in September 2005.
