ELIXIR Estonia is one of the founding members of the transnational ESFRI research infrastructure ELIXIR Europe, which includes 21 countries and more than 250 organisations and brings together life science resources, including databases, software tools, and training materials. The ELIXIR infrastructure makes it easier for researchers to find and share data, exchange experiences, and agree on best practices. 

ELIXIR Estonia's strengths are data management and public bioinformatics services, which enable the integration and analysis of large-scale biological data. ELIXIR Estonia offers versatile data management training and helps researchers develop data management plans. Courses cover topics ranging from data management, bioinformatics tools and software, Python and R programming, and data cleaning with OpenRefine to data visualisation.
