Fatima Sanchez-Cabo

Fatima Sanchez-Cabo is the Head of the Computational Systems Biomedicine Lab and the Bioinformatics Unit at CNIC, as well as an Associate Professor at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. With a background in mathematics, Fatima began exploring big biomedical data during their PhD at the University of Manchester, focusing on the statistical analysis and mathematical modeling of microarray data. Since then, they have dedicated their career to addressing critical biomedical questions using AI and data science techniques. Fatima also serves as a Vice President of the Sociedad Española de Bioinformática y Biología Computacional and is an Advisory Board Member for ELIXIR.
