Gro Eide

Gro Eide has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Gro started their career at Elkem ASA in 1997 as a Forsker (Researcher) and eventually worked their way up to the role of Laboratory Manager. Gro then served as the Director of R&D Technical Centre for Elkem ASA from July 2011 to September 2023. In July 2020, they became the VP of Innovation at Elkem ASA, holding different variations of this role until their current position.

Alongside their role at Elkem ASA, Gro Eide also held positions in various organizations. Gro served as the Styreleder (Board Chair) for NEW (NODE Eyde Woman) from January 2015 to May 2018. Prior to that, they were a Styremedlem (Board Member) for NEW (NODE Eyde Women) from June 2010 to January 2015. Additionally, they held the position of Styreleder (Board Chair) for CONNECT Sørlandet from June 2008 to June 2013.

Gro Eide attended the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) from 1987 to 1991, where they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Condensed Matter and Materials Physics. Later, from 2007 to 2009, they attended BI Norwegian Business School and completed a Master of Management degree with a focus on Business Administration and Management.
