Peter Leonard

Peter Leonard serves as an Adjunct Professor at the School of Private & Commercial Law, Faculty of Law & Justice UNSW, since January 2025. Currently, Leonard holds multiple roles including Member of the OECD.AI Expert Group on AI, Data and Privacy, Council Member of the National Data Advisory Council (Australia), and Member of the Data Standards Advisory Committee. Additionally, Leonard is a Member of the NSW Government Artificial Intelligence Review Committee and serves as Director at Elker, a platform focused on fostering communication between individuals and leaders. With a background as Principal and Director at Data Synergies, Leonard specializes in business strategy, governance, and legal frameworks related to AI and data analytics. Leonard is also a Member of the NSW Government Information and Privacy Advisory Committee and Chairman of the Board at Dynamic Crowd Measurement. Additionally, Leonard contributes as a Member and Immediate Past Chair of the ACS Al Ethics Technical Committee. Leonard holds a Bachelor of Economics with Honours and a Master of Laws in Law and Economics from the University of Sydney.
