Anders Ekberg

Anders Ekberg has extensive work experience in the energy industry, specializing in network operation and management. Anders began their career in 2001 as a Light Engineer at Woodlite Sweden AB. In 2004, they joined COWI as an Electric Power Engineer, where they primarily worked as a consultant for industry and utilities, performing calculations on electrical distribution systems and occasionally serving as a project manager. In 2006, Anders joined Fortum Distribution, initially working as an Electric Power Engineer, conducting investigations on the regional network and focusing on wind power connections. Anders later became the Manager of Network Investigation, responsible for long-term planning, investment calculation, and presenting investment cases to the investment board. In 2013, Anders took on the role of Area Manager for Fortum's subtransmission network in the Dalarna and Gävleborg areas, overseeing investments, maintenance, and technical development of the network. In 2015, Anders joined Ellevio AB as an Area Manager, responsible for the sub-transmission network in the Dalarna and Gävleborg regions, before transitioning to the position of Manager Asset Production. From 2017 to 2020, they served as the Head of Regional Network mid-Sweden, overseeing approximately 400 stations and 6,000 km of network, responsible for planning, investments, maintenance, and customer connections. Since 2020, Anders has held the position of Senior Director Network Operation at Ellevio AB.

Anders Ekberg earned a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Electrical Engineering Technologies/Technicians from Chalmers University of Technology, which they attended from 1998 to 2003. Prior to that, they completed their Gymnasieexamen (high school degree) in Elektroteknik from SÄG, from 1994 to 1997. In addition to their formal education, Ekberg obtained a certification called ESA-14 from Svensk Energi in September 2015.
