Ellipsis
Kara Cipperley has extensive experience in crisis management and community engagement, currently serving as the Crisis Nursery Unit Lead at Youth Emergency Services & Shelter since October 2018, following roles as a Resident Advisor and Resident Advisor Intern. Additionally, Cipperley works as a Character Performer for Royalty and Me and Storybook Adventures Princess Parties of Iowa, entertaining at various events throughout Central Iowa. In the realm of athletics, Cipperley contributes as an Assistant Cheer Coach at East High School. Previous experience includes a barista position at Starbucks, where customer interaction was prioritized, and an internship in wellness at Meredith Corporation. Cipperley holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and Health focusing on Community and Public Health from Iowa State University, as well as an Associate of Arts degree in Biology from Iowa Central Community College.

Ellipsis brings together Youth Homes of Mid-America (YHMA) and Youth Emergency Services & Shelter (YESS), both storied Iowa institutions with long histories of helping kids succeed.
