James Smith

James leads product, engineering and data for Elliptic, with an external focus on creating strategic value for customers through technology innovation. James sits on the Elliptic board and is driven by solving the needs of enterprise customers for best-in-class blockchain analytics solutions. His leadership and computer science background are key to bringing the company’s strategic vision to life through the development of Elliptic’s core data and technology platform which maintains the world’s most accurate and comprehensive cryptoasset data set.

James has a Computer Science PhD from the University of Oxford and a Computer Science MPhil and BA from the University of Cambridge. He previously worked as an options market maker in London’s financial district.
