Jay Glose

Jay Glose has extensive work experience in software development and programming. Jay began their career as a Programmer Analyst at SUNY Delhi in 2002, where they developed SQL-based software and designed effective technical solutions. Jay then worked as a Sr. Applications/Analyst Programmer at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from 2003 to 2009, improving business processes and leading mobile application development. Jay returned to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2010 as a Sr. Applications/Analyst Programmer, further enhancing web applications and incorporating modern technologies. Jay then joined SUNY SICAS Center as a Sr. Programmer Analyst in 2009, infusing current technologies into the existing software architecture. Since 2014, Jay has been working at Ellucian, starting as a Principal Software Developer and progressing to roles such as Manager, Senior Manager, and most recently as the Director of Software Engineering. In their current role, they manage multiple development teams and focuses on highly resilient, multi-tenant global SaaS solutions. Jay also plays the role of an Agile team scrum master. Throughout their career, Jay has utilized various programming languages and technologies such as Oracle PL/SQL, HTML, Java, Groovy/Grails, React, and Node.js.

Jay Glose earned a Master's degree in Management Information Systems from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2004-2006. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from SUNY Geneseo in 1998-2002. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Coaching Skills for Leaders and Managers from LinkedIn in 2021.
