Emrys Schoemaker

Emrys Schoemaker is a senior strategist and researcher specializing in digital transformation and governance in international affairs and development. Currently, Emrys serves as the Senior Director of Policy & Advisory at Caribou Digital, where they focus on digital governance and advisory services for various stakeholders, including governments and international organizations. Emrys holds a PhD from the London School of Economics, where their research examined the relationship between social media and identity through ethnographic work in Pakistan. With extensive experience across the Global South, Emrys has contributed to projects with organizations such as USAID, UNDP, and the World Bank, and is currently based in Amman, Jordan.
