Eltraf – privately held joint-stock company – was founded in 1994 by a group of companies led by the company STE (later became part of the CEZ Group) and since then has become one of the most complex and important producers of electrical stations and technological containers in the Czech Republic with many activities also in abroad. Its field of activity permanently expands hand in hand with the credo of the group of campanies that Eltraf is currently part of -- to realize power engineering projects and constructions from A to Z.

Promoting synergy and efficiency, Eltraf closely cooperates with other companies in its group  -- among others with the joint-stock company AZ Elektrostav that has become one of the most progressive electrical engineering companies in the Czech Republic.

In the framework of the Advanced Metering Management Pilot Project in the FUTUR/E/MOTION Concept of the CEZ Group, Eltraf produced distribution transformer stations ready for installment of Smart Grids modules. Such modules were finally installed and nowadays are being tested.

Eltraf is a member of the Czech Committee of CIRED, the Leading Forum where the Electricity Distribution Community meets.
