Michelle Gonzalez

Lead Mechanical Engineer at Elve

Michelle Gonzalez started their work experience as a Student Assistant Engineer at UC Davis Microwave and Millimeter Wave Research Center in May 2014. In this role, they conducted tests on cathodes, researched manufacturing methods for TWT circuits, and designed and maintained research equipment.

In February 2016, Gonzalez joined SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory as an RF Engineer. Their responsibilities included accelerator research focused on klystron development, analysis of power generation and absorption using ANSYS, and developing a plasma cleaning vacuum system.

From November 2016 to July 2021, Gonzalez worked as a Research and Development Engineer at the University of California, Davis. In this position, they managed the engineering aspect of research projects related to design, fabrication, assembly, and testing of experimental equipment for vacuum electron devices. Their primary responsibility was cathode development and fabrication.

Most recently, in August 2021, Gonzalez joined Elve, Inc. as the Lead Mechanical Engineer. No end date for this role is provided, indicating that they are currently employed in this position.

Michelle Gonzalez attended the California Academy of Math and Science from 2007 to 2011, where they obtained their high school diploma. Michelle then pursued their higher education at the University of California, Davis from 2011 to 2015, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
