Thousands of visitors come to Ely Cathedral each year, from all over the world. Few are ever disappointed, for there is something here for everyone. Lovers of architecture will rejoice in the many different styles, blending to make the whole. History abounds around every corner, and the beauty created by artists in wood, stone and glass is everywhere.

• Christian Place of Worship - the ongoing pattern of Morning Prayer, Holy Communion and Evensong is at the heart of life at the Cathedral.

• Learning - a unique educational resource. Around ten thousand school children visit the Cathedral every year. For young people, we offer a variety of experiences and activities that support and enrich the National Curriculum

• Centre of Musical excellence - offered first and foremost as an expression of worship. Since the days of King Canute (c. 1000) music has played an important role in the on-going life of the Cathedral.

• Established filming and recording venue favoured by producers, artists, and film and TV companies alike.

• Corporate Dining/Private Hire - the combination of majestic architecture, sensitive lighting, sound and music, produces a unique occasion in an unforgettable location.

• Hospitality - offered here since medieval times. Today, the tradition is continued at our 12c Almonry restaurant, where food of the highest quality is served, using fresh, local produce.
