Samrat Banerjee

Samrat Banerjee has a diverse work experience in the IT industry. Samrat currently holds the position of Senior Vice President & CIO at Emami Ltd since August 2022. Prior to that, they served as Vice President - IT (CIO) at Spencer's Retail from February 2021 to August 2022. Before joining Spencer's Retail, Samrat worked at ITC Infotech for a significant period. Samrat held various roles including Divisional CIO - ITC & VP - ITC Infotech from March 2013 to February 2021, Delivery Head from October 2010 to March 2013, and Program Manager from March 2005 to October 2010. Samrat also worked as a Technical Manager at Workscape from January 2001 to March 2005, and as a Senior Software Engineer at TECHNA from October 1998 to January 2001. Samrat started their career as a Software Engineer at ITC Limited in July 1996 and worked there until October 1998.

Samrat Banerjee has a diverse education history. In 1992, they obtained an Engineer's Degree in Computer Science from Jadavpur University. From 1979 to 1992, they attended South Point High School, where they studied Science. In 2007, Samrat completed a degree in Supply Chain Management from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. In 2013, they obtained a CIO Certification from the Indian School of Business.
