Alex Melvin

Alex Melvin, RA, currently serves as an Architect at EMBARC since April 2021 and holds a concurrent position as Team Leader and Faculty at Handshouse Studio since June 2017. Previous experience includes roles as Associate, Project Architect, and Job Captain at Scott Payette Architects and as Project Leader and BIM Implementation Manager at Leupold Brown Goldbach Architekten. Notably, Alex has contributed as an Adjunct Professor at Massachusetts College of Art and Design and has also worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Washington University in St. Louis. Education includes a Master of Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis and dual Bachelor's degrees in Design and Architecture, as well as Construction Management, from the University of Florida. Alex has developed expertise in high-detail carpentry, metal fabrication, and theming through various positions, including craftsman apprenticeship and participation in multiple design projects.
