Jon Sjöberg

Jon Sjöberg is a skilled data scientist and engineer with extensive experience in various industries, including gaming, entertainment, and software. Currently, at Embark Studios since August 2023, Jon specializes in security data science, focusing on anti-cheat solutions for AAA multiplayer games and developing ETL pipelines for data transformation. Prior to this, Jon held positions at Viaplay Group and HBO Europe, applying machine learning and developing recommender systems while building ETL flows and automation tools. Jon's background also includes significant work at King on optimizing game features and at Viaplay AB performing statistical analysis using SQL and Spark. Jon's career began at Opera Software, where diverse roles from data scientist to design manager were undertaken, encompassing A/B testing and user interface design. Jon holds a degree from Linköping University, completed in 2008.
