James McGurn

James McGurn, CFA, is a seasoned financial analyst specializing in business valuation, with extensive experience in providing opinions of value for both privately held and publicly traded companies. Currently serving as Senior Director at Embark since January 2022, James previously held the position of Senior Manager at Grant Thornton LLP from August 2015 to January 2022. In this role, James focused on valuation for financial reporting, including fair value assessments and purchase price allocations. Prior to Grant Thornton, James accumulated valuable experience at Empire Valuation Consultants and First American Equipment Finance, where responsibilities included valuation analysis, asset management, and the creation of financial models. James holds a BA in Economics from the University of Rochester, graduated in 2006.
