Timo Krause

Timo Krause has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Timo is currently employed as the Chief Underwriting Officer at TONI Digital since January 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of Chief Actuary at Embea starting from January 2023.

Before joining TONI Digital and Embea, Timo worked at Toa Re Europe from September 2021, where they served as the Head of Life & Health. Additionally, they were the Market Head EMEA, Life Accident & Health at Toa Re Europe from May 2020 to October 2021.

Timo also has an extensive history at Swiss Re, where they held multiple roles. Starting from April 2015 to February 2020, they served as the Sales Director and Head of Life & Health Transactions EMEA. From May 2012 to March 2015, Timo was the Key Account Manager and Client Executive, where they oversaw a portfolio of 5 large clients and implemented various strategies to grow profitability and improve customer satisfaction. Prior to that, they worked as a Pricing Actuary and Client Manager from January 2010 to April 2012, and as a Reserving Actuary Asia from August 2007 to December 2009. Timo's journey at Swiss Re began as a Corporate Actuary from January 2004 to July 2007.

Before joining Swiss Re, Timo worked as a Consulting Actuary at an Actuarial Consultancy from April 2001 to December 2003. Timo started their career as a self-employed Database Developer from January 1995 to December 2000.

Timo Krause's education history begins in 1995 when they enrolled at the University of Basel to pursue a M.Sc. degree in Mathematics and Computer Science. Timo completed their studies in 2000. Following this, they continued their education at the same university and obtained a M.Sc. degree in Actuarial Science and Economics in 2002. In 2013, they attended the University of St.Gallen and received certification as a Global Account Manager (GAM-HSG) in the field of Key Account Management. In addition to their degrees, Timo Krause has obtained additional certifications, including the CAS Global Account Management from the University of St.Gallen in 2013, the M. Sc. Actuarial Science, Economics from the University of Basel in 2002, and the M. Sc. Mathematics and Computer Science from Universität Base in 2000.
