Dan Roelker is an advisor at Embedded Ventures. Dan was previously self-employed. Prior to that, they were the founder of DC Black Ops at Security Innovation Government Solutions from April 2009 to January 2011. From January 2005 to April 2009, they were the section lead for Information Operations at Alphatech, which was acquired by BAE Systems. Dan was also the SVP Engineering and Product at Subspace from September 2019 to August 2021. From September 2015 to September 2019, they were the VP of Software Engineering at SpaceX. From January 2014 to September 2015, they were the Technical Director & Product Owner at Riot Games. From February 2011 to January 2014, they were the Program Manager for Cyberwarfare at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). Prior to that, they were the founding developer at Sourcefire, Inc. from May 2002 to January 2005 and a software engineer at Enterasys Networks from January 2001 to May 2002. Dan started their career as an associate scientist at Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory from May 1998 to January 2001.
