With more than 30 years in the Sensor Industry, John has a broad experience in R&D and high volume manufacturing.
Educated in the UK, he obtained his BS in Physics and his PhD in Engineering from University of Birmingham.
Following school, John joined Lucas Advanced Engineering Center for Automotive Research and Development. Looking for his next challenge, he moved to Silicon Valley California and joined Lucas NovaSensor, where he was responsible for engineering of many automotive, medical, and industrial sensor products. In 2004, John joined LV Sensors, a start-up developing integrated remote tire pressure sensors, as VP of Engineering. In 2009, LV Sensors was acquired by Atmel Corporation where John developed their range of sensor hubs and systems which resulted in Atmel sensor hub microcontrollers being selected for many leading smartphone manufacturers.
