David Benavente

David Benavente has more than 20 years of work experience in the aerospace industry. David founded Embention in 2007 and served as the CEO of the start-up, which specializes in intelligent systems for the civil UAV/UAS market. Prior to Embention, David worked at Deimos Space as a Senior Engineer from 2002 to 2004 and at GMV as a Project Engineer from 2000 to 2002.

David Benavente has an extensive education history in the field of aerospace engineering and informatics. David earned a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Aerospace Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2005 to 2007. Prior to that, from 2002 to 2005, they pursued a DEA (Diploma de Estudios Avanzados) in Ciencia y Tecnología Aeroespaciales at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. David also holds a degree in Informatica de Sistemas, obtained from the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia - U.N.E.D. between 1998 and 2003. Additionally, they obtained their initial engineering degree, specializing in Aeronáutico, from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, where they studied from 1995 to 2000.
