Raul Miranda

Raul Miranda is the Global Programme Director at Ember, where they lead initiatives focused on international analysis and monitoring of the transition to clean electricity. They have held positions as a Programme Officer at the International Renewable Energy Agency, engaging with various countries to support energy transitions, and as a Research Analyst at Cenergia Lab, contributing to energy and environmental economics projects. Raul has also been involved in several academic roles, including Visiting Research Fellow positions at institutions in Brazil and Europe, where they developed methods for assessing energy systems and sustainability. They earned a PhD in Energy Planning from the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, among other degrees in the field of energy and environmental planning.
