Claire Deo

Claire Deo has a robust background in organic chemistry, including experience as a Group Leader at EMBL since October 2019 and a Post-Doctoral Research Associate at Howard Hughes Medical Institute from November 2016 to September 2019. Prior to these roles, Claire served as a Predoctoral Fellow at Chimex from September 2012 to August 2013, contributing to process development. Claire also completed two internships in organic chemistry under the mentorship of Pr. Joanne Xie, focusing on the synthesis of macrocyclic compounds and glycoaminooxy peptides. Additional internship experience includes a position at Columbia University in the City of New York in April 2011, studying the fluorescence of PAMAM dendrimers. Academic credentials include a Master's degree in Organic Chemistry from both École Normale Supérieure de Cachan and Université Paris Sud (Paris XI), as well as foundational education at Lycée Pasteur - Neuilly-sur-Seine.
