Jamie Hackett is a Group Leader and Deputy Head of Unit at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) in Rome, where they explore the epigenetic mechanisms that influence development, health, and disease. Jamie's research integrates (epi)genomics and developmental biology with cutting-edge technology to elucidate epigenetic processes. They are also the co-Founder and interim Chief Scientific Officer of Epitome Therapeutics, a biotechnology company focused on pioneering Epigenome Editing technologies. Jamie previously completed postdoctoral research at the University of Cambridge and the University of Edinburgh, where they earned a PhD in Epigenetics.
