Jonas Hellgoth

Jonas Hellgoth is a PhD student at EMBL since April 2023, following a Master’s internship in the same institution where machine learning for image analysis was applied under the guidance of Anna Kreshuk. Previous experience includes developing PSF modeling for super-resolution microscopy during a research internship with Jonas Ries at EMBL and conducting simulations of collagen molecules at HITS. Additional research internships at University Hospital Heidelberg and University of Heidelberg focused on arginine homeostasis and multiple particle tracking, respectively. Prior to academia, Jonas gained marketing experience at PROGEN and engaged in protein degradation research as a Bachelor student at DKFZ-ZMBH-Allianz. Educational background includes a PhD in Biomathematics, Bioinformatics, and Computational Biology, as well as a Master’s and Bachelor’s in Molecular Biotechnology from Heidelberg University.
