Kim Remans is an experienced researcher in the field of recombinant protein production. After completing a Master's degree in Bio-engineering and a PhD in Structural Biology at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Kim focused on the characterization of the lipoprotein localization pathway in *Pseudomonas aeruginosa*. Kim later served as a postdoctoral researcher at the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Physiology, studying proteins involved in ciliopathies. Currently, Kim is the Head of the EMBL Protein Expression and Purification Core Facility in Heidelberg, where they lead a team that supports researchers in advanced protein expression, purification, and characterization.
