Michael Zimmermann

Michael Zimmermann is an accomplished scientist currently serving as Group Leader at EMBL since August 2019. Prior to this role, Michael held the position of Postdoctoral Associate at Yale School of Medicine from October 2015 to June 2019 and was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute of Molecular Systems Biology in Zurich from October 2014 to September 2015. Additionally, Michael gained experience as a Junior Specialist at UCSF in 2009 and completed research internships at Harvard Medical School, the Université de Strasbourg, and Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine. Michael obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from ETH Zürich in 2014, a Master's degree in Biotechnology from the University of Strasbourg in 2009, and a Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Basel in 2006.
