Thomas Quail

Group leader

Thomas Quail is a scientist currently serving as a group leader at EMBL in the Cell Biology and Biophysics unit, where they study the physical mechanisms of chromatin organization. Previously, they were a post-doctoral fellow at the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics, focusing on biomolecular condensates and protein purification. Thomas earned their PhD in Physiology from McGill University, where they investigated abnormal cardiac rhythms and advanced methods in numerical simulations and nonlinear dynamics. They completed their Bachelor of Science in Physiology with a minor in Mathematics at McGill University as well.
