Ying Wang

Ying Wang is a Staff Scientist at EMBL, specializing in influenza A virus research and lab management. They have over 5.5 years of experience in virology and have worked as a Postdoc Scientist at the University of Marburg and University of Freiburg, focusing on cancer biomarkers and pharmacological targets from 2014 to 2019. Ying also completed a PhD in Cancer Cell Biology at Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg, where they developed and applied in vitro 3D tumor cell invasion models. Prior to their postdoctoral work, they served as a Practical Student at Roche and a Student Research Assistant at Tsinghua University, contributing to structural biology studies. Ying holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Beijing Normal University and a Master's in Molecular and Cellular Biology from Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg.
