Mark Caires

Mark Caires has over 25 years of experience in finance and administration. Mark began their career in 1995 as the Director of Finance and Controller at ClariNet Communications Corp, where they were responsible for the first internet news service publishing over 3,000 articles in newsgroups to educational and business sites. Mark then worked as a Financial Consultant for various companies from 2002-2003, followed by Senior Director of Finance and Administration at Broncus Technologies Inc from 2003-2011. In 2011, they became the Director of Finance and Administration at Neuralieve Inc., where they had full responsibility for finance and accounting and reported directly to the President of the Company. From 2012-2018, they were the Vice President of Finance and Administration at Silk Road Medical, Inc. and then worked as a Financial Executive Consultant from 2018-2019. In 2019, they became the Senior Director of Finance and Human Resources at Qool Therapeutics, Inc. and then Director of Finance and Administration at Cala Health in 2020. Mark is currently the Vice President of Finance and Administration at Emboline, Inc.

Mark Caires obtained a Master of Business Administration in Finance from San Diego State University between 1991 and 1993, and a double Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Economics from Santa Clara University between 1983 and 1987.
