Luis Herrera Suazo

Luis Herrera Suazo has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Luis most recently worked at embotech as the Lead UX & Cybersecurity / Information Security Officer. Prior to that, they were with 1886Ventures as the Lead Product Manager for AXYARD, where they were responsible for product vision, strategy, and implementation, as well as user experience and cybersecurity. Before that, Luis worked at Daimler AG, where they held multiple roles, including Project Manager for Digital Integration and Cybersecurity Automated Trucks (AXYARD), and Creative Technologist for Digital Products and Services at Daimler Fleetboard GmbH. Luis also worked at TU Delft as an Assistant for the Design of Central Digital Lab, at PostNL as a Design Researcher, and at UL Wiklund R&D as a Human Factors Intern. Additionally, Luis has experience as an Interaction Designer and Usability Lead at SuiGeneris SA, a Graphic Designer at Instituto Tecnológico de Costa Rica, and as a Graphic Design Intern at Garnier BBDO.

Luis Herrera Suazo obtained a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design Engineering from Tecnológico de Costa Rica in 2012. Luis then pursued their Master's degree in Industrial Design Engineering with a specialization in Design for Interaction at Delft University of Technology, which they completed in 2016. During their Bachelor's program, Luis also had the opportunity to study abroad at Hochschule für Gestaltung Schwäbisch Gmünd for a semester, focusing on Product Design and Interaction Design. Prior to their higher education, Luis obtained a High School diploma and Graphic Design education from Colegio Técnico Don Bosco.
