Philip Hörmandinger is an accomplished robotics engineer currently serving as Team Lead for Perception & Localization at embotech since January 2024. Prior experience includes a role as Robotics Software Engineer at Stettbacher Signal Processing AG, where significant contributions were made to mobile robotics, including the integration of ROS 2 and development of advanced LIDAR-based perception systems. Philip's earlier work involved pioneering autonomous robotic car washing solutions at ecoSwash AG and research on multi-body dynamics at Johannes Kepler Universität Linz, where Philip earned both a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation. Additional experience includes an internship at Trotec Laser GmbH focused on experimental research and a brief training course in May 2022.
