Thiva Albin

Thivaharan Albin is an accomplished professional in the field of control engineering, currently serving as the Head of Passenger Vehicle Automation at embotech since September 2019. Albin's expertise includes automated driving solutions, valet parking systems, and electric vehicle charging technologies. Previously, as the Head of Industry Solutions at embotech, contributions were made towards real-time optimization software for industrial automation, enhancing performance in various applications, such as CNC machines and industrial robots. Prior to embotech, Albin held positions at ETH Zürich and RWTH Aachen University, where roles included Senior Researcher, Lecturer, Chief Engineer, and Team Leader. Albin's academic credentials include a Habilitation and Ph.D. in Control Engineering from RWTH Aachen University, as well as a Diplom-Ingenieur in Mechanical Engineering from Technische Universität Braunschweig, and international experience at the University of Waterloo.
