Will Durmire

Vice President Operations at Embraer

Will Durmire has over 30 years of work experience in various roles within the aviation industry. Will most recently served as the Vice President of Operations at Embraer, starting in May 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Safran as an Operations Manager responsible for operations and production in five workshops from June 2018 to May 2021. Before joining Safran, Durmire was a Multi-Shop Manager of Production at Zodiac Aerospace (now Safran) from February 2018 to June 2018.

From 2012 to 2017, Durmire held the position of Manager of Product Repair Services at Aviall, A Boeing Company, where they managed a multi-shop FAA and EASA 145 Repair Station for Aircraft Component Repair and Overhaul. Will also established and managed domestic and international repair networks.

Prior to that, they worked as an Application Engineer at Intergraph Government Solutions from July 2009 to July 2012, developing maintenance programs and work packages. Durmire gained extensive experience at Delta Air Lines from 2000 to 2007, serving in various roles.

Will started their career as an AMT/Contract Employee Coordinator at Strom Aviation from August 1998 to February 2000, managing contract maintenance team members and performing aircraft maintenance on commercial heavy aircraft. Durmire's early experience includes serving in multiple roles in the US Navy from April 1990 to April 1998, such as AMT/Aircrew/Maintenance Management and Maintenance Inspector. Will was also selected as an Aircraft Familiarization Class Instructor during their time in the Navy.

Will Durmire completed their education in aeronautics and aviation at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, earning a Bachelor's degree in Aeronautics from 2004 to 2010. Will also obtained an Associate of Science (A.S.) in Management of Technical Operations from the same institution from 2004 to 2007. In addition, they hold additional certifications including being a Notary Public obtained in January 2021 and an Airframe and Power Plant License from the FAA. Will also obtained a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification from MoreSteam University.
