Adrien Speck is a postdoctoral researcher at Embrapa since October 2023, following nearly a decade at Terre de Lin as a flax pre-breeder, where the focus was on developing flax varieties rich in fiber and resistant to various stresses. Previous experience includes work as an R&D engineer at CIRAD, where research centered on the genetic structure of honeybee populations and viral prevalence, as well as at HM.CLAUSE managing a project that developed SNP markers for a sweet pepper breeding program. Additionally, Adrien contributed to genetic research at INRAE, including the cloning of resistance genes in potatoes and studying the genetic structure of Bremia lactucae. Adrien holds a doctorate in general biology from Université Paris-Saclay and a Master’s degree in general biology from Université de Bordeaux.
