Celso Moretti has held various roles at Embrapa, a research and development organization. From 2008 to 2013, they served as the Head of the organization. From 2013 to 2017, they worked as the Head of a department. In 2019, they became the CEO, responsible for establishing and managing the R&D strategy at Embrapa. Additionally, they also served as the President of the organization during this time. Currently, in 2023, they are working as a Pesquisador at Embrapa.
Celso Moretti has an extensive education history. Celso began their educational journey at the Universidade Federal de Viçosa, where they obtained their Bachelor's degree in Agronomy and Crop Science in 1990. Following this, they pursued further specialization and completed their Master's degree in Plant Sciences at the same university from 1991 to 1993. To expand their knowledge and gain international exposure, they became a Visiting Scholar at the University of Florida in 1996-1997, focusing on Horticultural Science.
In 1998, Moretti continued their academic pursuits and earned their Doctor Scientiae degree in Plant Sciences from the Universidade Federal de Viçosa. Recognizing the importance of augmenting their expertise beyond their field of study, they pursued additional training in Business Administration and Management, General at the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina in 2001.
To further enhance their knowledge and skills in public administration and governance, Moretti engaged in training programs at distinguished institutions. In 2016, they attended the Escola Nacional de Administração Pública for training in Public Administration. Additionally, they completed a training program in Governance at Harvard University within the same year.
Overall, Moretti has consistently invested in their education, specializing in various areas related to plant sciences, horticulture, business administration, public administration, and governance throughout their academic journey.
